Hi!

Being the family scapegoat is painful, confusing, and so unfair. There are several games that scapegoats endure and get sucked into playing and one of them is the blame game. The blame game is effective at creating and keeping a scapegoat in the their role.

If there is something wrong within the system or the relationship, the true culprit can be hidden by assigning the blame elsewhere. Scapegoats are blamed for any and everything. If the scapegoat could take a step back, they would see how ridiculous the accusations are and how unnecessary it is to respond and defend themselves against, but instead they get caught up in defending and explaining themselves.

Check out this video to learn more about blame game so you can side step it...

One thing to remember is that you do not have to play any game just because some else wants to.

Another great tip is to remember not to try to convince anyone of anything. You can just state the truth and move on even if someone else does not want to. Remember, just because they want to play the blame game does not mean you have to as well.
